Product Description Product Description This work introduces the concepts of the rainbow system style of management. It rejects the traditional authoritarian management styles and promotes the involvement of all employees in the business of improving productivity, reducing costs and eliminating wastage. The rainbow system advocates the following: a business divided into departments; each department is allocated an operating budget, determined as a percentage of the company's turnover. In addition the shareholders' dividend is determined as a percentage of turnover. Each department then runs itself as a mini-company, operating within its budget. Any savings made within a department is divided among the employees as a bonus. It is therefore in the employees' interests to keep costs low and productivity high. |
